Why a Blog

I think there are to many things to keep us busy in today's culture. Everyone has a Facebook page, Twitter account, Blog page, and numerous other types of avenues to broadcast their opinion on life or their personal life event by event. With that being said what possessed me to start Astounding Grace? Lets make that the subject of my first post.

Astounding grace has two purposes:

This blog is designed to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ through theological and philosophical reflection. This reflection will be based on the revealed will of God in the Christian Scriptures. I believe that the Word of God is the basis for our life and the only guide we have to judge what is real and true.
The second purpose for this blog is glorify God by keeping people updated on my family's journey through Bible College at Boyce the undergraduate school of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. We want the people who pray and support us to be intimately involved in our journey. God has done a great work in our lives and he is not finished. Intimate involvement of our supporters is critical to our ministry.

If you don't know My family's story watch the videos below. They will give you a overview. Your free to ask questions to any member of my family or to comment on any one of my posts. I only ask that you conduct yourself in a respectful manner. Feel free to also follow me on Facebook or Twitter.

The question of my position may remain in your mind so let me clarify it for you. Social media that is just designed to keep us busy is a severe waste of time in light of the need for the gospel throughout the world. If you are going to post, write, or tweet make it purposeful, useful and meaningful.
